  • Anvil branding
  • Competition-standard build
  • Available in multiple thickness options
  • Made to your waist measurement

What thickness is best for you?

  • 6.5mm → Comfortable, flexible, if this is your first belt, get 6.5mm
  • 10mm → Great balance of support & comfort for suitable for daily training and competitions
  • 13mm → Maximum rigidity, this is only recommended for elite competition. This is not comfortable and is not recommended for daily training

SIZING

  • Measure around your waist where you wear your belt (for most people, this is around the belly button)
  • The size you choose will be the middle of the belt holes, which will give you a few sizes up and down for weight fluctuations.
  • If you buy through other brands, you will choose a size category, and your specific size could be the first or last hole of the belt, leaving you no options when your weight fluctuates or you're bloated.
  • Even our branded belts are made to your measurement, because this is the most important thing about a weightlifting belt.

👉 Tip: Your belt should feel tight when bracing — not when relaxed.

Q: Will this belt feel uncomfortable at first?
Yes — that’s normal. A proper belt is rigid so it can give you something to brace against. It will break in and mold to your body over time.

Q: How tight should my belt be?
It should feel slightly loose when relaxed — you create tightness by bracing into it.

Q: Can I use this in competitions?
All Anvil Strength Lever and Buckle belts are built to competition specs used across most federations. Which are:

  • Max belt height of 10cm
  • Max belt thickness of 13mm
  • Made of non-stretch leather
  • No padding
  • No Velcro closures

👉 Tip: We ship internationally and are not aware of all federations, so please check if the federation you plan to compete in limits which brands they allow you to wear.

👉 Tip: Power Lifting Comps require lever or buckle belts - Velcro closures and padded belts are typically not allowed
