How to Measure for a Custom Weightlifting Belt

Measure around your torso where you wear your belt, usually around the navel. Do not use pants size. Your selected measurement should sit near the middle of the belt adjustment range.

Use a soft tape measure

Stand relaxed and wrap a soft tape measure around the area where the belt will sit during your lifts.

Measure where the belt will sit

For most lifters this is around the navel, but use the position you actually wear your belt in training.

Do not pull the tape too tight

The tape should sit flat around your torso without digging in. Do not hold your breath or brace hard while measuring.

Do not use pants size

Pants size is not accurate for belt sizing. Use your actual torso measurement.

If your bodyweight is changing

If you are gaining or losing weight, choose carefully and contact us before ordering if your measurement is near the edge of a size range.

Start a custom belt or compare 10mm vs 13mm belt thickness.
